James Judd, NPR - Snap Judgment, & Jeff Macauley, MAC Award nominee, will crush your post-holiday blues with a night of hilarity and music. Special guest, hilarious storyteller Terri Mintz.
James Judd is a stand-up storyteller. He has been "The Closer" for 25 of NPR's mega-hit Snap Judgment live shows, selling out venues from BAM Opera House to Oakland's massive Paramount Theater. He is a frequent guest on morning television shows wherever he performs. James is a former member of The Groundlings in Los Angeles. He was also a member the New Faces at the Hollywood Improv, and appeared on their popular A&E Evening at the Improv tv show. His critically acclaimed, award-winning, one-man, autobiographical play 7 SINS has been produced in festivals across North America. He is the author of Now I Know, a book of collected essays. He also teaches The James Judd Master Class, a series of workshops to help people tell their own stories effectively.
Jeff Macauley has been singing in clubs from Los Angeles to New York since 1990. Jeff was nominated for a 2017 and 2016 MAC Award for Male Vocalist and has been nominated for several BroadwayWorld.com cabaret awards for his shows “It Was Me: The Lyrics of Norman Gimbel,” “Mr. Lucky: The Songs of Henry Mancini,” and “Le Grand Tour: The Music of Michel Legrand.” In 1998, Jeff received Backstage Magazine’s Bistro Award for Outstanding Theme Show for “MWAH! The Dinah Shore Show” which was successfully revived in 2016 in honor of Miss Shore’s centenary. “It Was Me: The Lyrics of Norman Gimbel,” is also available as a studio recording at cdbaby.com and through iTunes and Amazon. Jeff just finished a run of his latest show, “Hollywood Party: Movie Songs 1928-1936,” at Pangea in the East Village.
